Meet the Owner
Apex is led by owner Zack Matthews, an award-winning chimney sweep and air duct professional with 29 years of hands-on experience in the field. Over nearly three decades, Zack has swept, inspected, and repaired thousands of chimneys and cleaned countless air duct and dryer vent systems, and he built this company on one simple idea: a chimney visit should leave you better informed, not more confused. Too many homeowners get handed a scary list of “urgent” repairs they never needed. Zack runs Apex the opposite way — we inspect thoroughly, show you what we see, and give you a plain-English recommendation and an upfront price before any work begins.
How We Work
Every visit starts with protection for your home: drop cloths at the hearth, corner guards, and a HEPA-filtered vacuum so soot stays out of your living room. We sweep the flue, inspect the liner and masonry, and check that everything drafts safely. When we are done, we walk you through the findings and leave your space clean. If your chimney is in good shape, we tell you so.
